Today I:

*Grabbed a great parking spot
*Found out that my students are all interested and happy to be in my class
*Got a $50 card for photocopies at the library (a grad student perk I just found out about!)
*Easily straightened out my textbook situation at the campus book store

Quote of the week:
"Ah, the genteel life of poverty!"

I'm looking for web sites and/or books that give good, succinct surveys of fashion history. I need these for my class, my students are going to have to write a fashion research paper so I need some resources to help show them a basic time-line of costume history.

Danke!

I had them write a bit about what they've done in earlier English classes and what they would like to study in this class. The time periods they mentioned the most were Victorian / Civil War and 1950s. One student wants to research the origins of punk clothing! Cool!
