Accu-Window Weather
Sep. 6th, 2004 11:03 amI didn't sleep well last night, our bedroom has a big window with a large oak tree right outside; right about at the point of unconsciousness the wind would shake the tree and I'd jump into alertness with a paranoid thought. It's overcast and drizzling right now, what my mum would call typical Ohio weather. The cats are chasing each other, more so than usual. And I just found out that the university will be closed tomorrow, so I need to post some info to my classes' Blackboard site. I had individual conferences scheduled with each of my students, so hopefully my Tuesday conferences can move to Thursday, and I suppose I'll have to push the due date of their essay back one day. But at least I have more time to catch up on my readings. The malls are closed, not that I have any money, or any inclination to get outside in what I'm assured by the media are "rapidly deteriorating conditions".
And there's another storm in the Atlantic with the potential to take the same path that this one did. What a great way to spend the weekends, running and hiding from foul weather. Wheeeee!
