that sucks! It's weird how i always think of america as warmer, although it seems like you often get more snow adn way worse weather than we do.
It's snowing here too, but in that peaceful winter-y way with big snowflakes and only four inches or so on the ground. *hopes the real winter won't ever come*
We get a lot of heavy winter weather from Canada and the Great Lakes - cold wind blows over those lakes and it can make a ton of snow. Plus Americans panic when it snows and they drive like crazy people!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your Icon, from "3 Wishes for Cinderella". That was a fave movie when I was a child and I just got it on DVD for the holidays. Nice to see it.
*grins* it's my christmas icon, really, but it works when i'm talking about snow too :P The film is aired around eleven in the morning every christmas eve on norwegian telly. It's given a really horrendous voiceover, but people protested when they one year aired a properly dubbed version, so they went back to the horrendous voiceover, and then everyone were happy.

Here in the US, it was aired on the Kukla, Fran and Ollie show in the 1970's. It was dubbed horribly here too. My DVD is in the original Czech with subtitles.
I would think so, it seems like around here the only things up and running are public transport and Purdue. Seems crazy though, especially how the bus drivers drive around here in optimal weather...

They finally declared a "Snow recess" and closed campus from noon today through noon tomorrow. We have a foot of snow out there and probably another 5 inches on the way tonight. Whhheeee!
