Anyone into Lost? It's about the only show we watch as it airs, as opposed to on tivo. Damn, so many commercials!

- Locke - does he ever make the right decision?
- At least now we won't have the annoying "Jack and Locke as squabbling old married couple" trope.
- Charlie is so annoying. They spent way too much time on that character this season.
- Writers: please make Hurley more than the punchline for random fat guy jokes.
- This season was not as tight as the first season. I feel that they waited till the last episode to pick up the pace - a risky move.
- I think The Others took Kate, Jack, and Sawyer so fan fic writers can work on steamy prison sex scenes.
- Giant foot statue with four toes = wtf??

This season was really slow, but I think the finale was awesome. What I find so interesting abut the statue, though, is the whole Biblical reference I think it invokes. I'm not sure what faith you practice, if any, but Daniel (of lions' den fame) interprets a dream about a statue with a clay foot. The same statue plays a small role in Dante's Inferno as well. I don't get the four toes thing, but that was the first symbol I thought of.
NB: I have absolutely NO religious training at all, don't attend church, and practice no "real" faith of any kind. I guess you can only teach Dante for so long before that's just how you start to think, huh?
