Anyone into Lost? It's about the only show we watch as it airs, as opposed to on tivo. Damn, so many commercials!

  1. Locke - does he ever make the right decision?
  2. At least now we won't have the annoying "Jack and Locke as squabbling old married couple" trope.
  3. Charlie is so annoying. They spent way too much time on that character this season.
  4. Writers: please make Hurley more than the punchline for random fat guy jokes.
  5. This season was not as tight as the first season. I feel that they waited till the last episode to pick up the pace - a risky move.
  6. I think The Others took Kate, Jack, and Sawyer so fan fic writers can work on steamy prison sex scenes.
  7. Giant foot statue with four toes = wtf??

You just know somewhere someone has written Sawyer/Jack fan fiction, and just the thought of that makes me want to put my head in a blender.

I'm pretty sure you can count on the existence of Sawyer/Jack, Locke/Jack, and probably Eko/Charlie fic ~

I totally agree!

This season was really slow, but I think the finale was awesome. What I find so interesting abut the statue, though, is the whole Biblical reference I think it invokes. I'm not sure what faith you practice, if any, but Daniel (of lions' den fame) interprets a dream about a statue with a clay foot. The same statue plays a small role in Dante's Inferno as well. I don't get the four toes thing, but that was the first symbol I thought of.

NB: I have absolutely NO religious training at all, don't attend church, and practice no "real" faith of any kind. I guess you can only teach Dante for so long before that's just how you start to think, huh?

That's interesting, I don't remember hearing about that dream of Daniel's. I first thought of "Ozymandias" when I saw the statue.

I never even thought of that. ::grin:: Don't tell anyone, lest they decide never to let me teach world lit again.
