a quick update

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi! I visited my mom last week, then we visited our friends down south for the weekend. Unfortunately I now have a rotten head cold. Blargh. I hope to sleep it off before the big holiday.

I had to pick shipbrook up after work today, so for dinner we stopped at this very yummy Cajun restaurant for takeout. Soup that clears up the sinuses and hush-puppies. The waitress and I talked tattoos. She is having some of her tats removed (ones on her knuckles) and says that procedure is very painful.

School ended nicely, my grades were good, and I'm looking forward to next semester, which should be a bit less hectic than this one was.

The Internet, in the form of Toys R Us at Amazon.com, saved me from painful and unpleasant holiday shopping for my young niece and nephew. I love technology that lets me shop in a bathrobe!

It's nice and cold here, and may even snow a bit this weekend.
