My sewing room

Here's a few photos of my sewing room.

The walls are a bit "minty mint," in retrospect I probably should have gone a shade lighter. This was actually "oops paint" from a local surplus store; pro level paint and it went on like a dream, and it was under ten dollars.

This is the closet with some decorative plates from Tuesday Morning. They are plastic! And there's a bee. And my hands taking this photo.

A bit of wall storage and a reclining chair.

And in this corner, the corner desk. I have designated it my jewelry making spot. The rolling wire cart contains more jewelry making supplies. There's the second window, the embroidery machine, and a bonus shot of BooBoo Kitty. I assure you that I have vacuumed the floor since taking these pictures!

I have since moved the dress form into the hall - that's a decorative one that I am thinking about making into a lamp. The long desk has my sewing machine and serger. You can see that I have only one curtain panel per window - I'm hoping that they will go on sale so I can buy two more so there will be two panels per window. It looks okay now with the one, I suppose.

This is in the corner above the long sewing table. I found it in the Ikea bargain corner. I have a thing for LED lights like that.

For my birthday, I hope that I am getting an office chair to replace this folding chair. I know I'm getting track lighting installed above the desk this week, yay!

The project on the dress form is the Liverpool dress from Amy Butler. Just needs a little hand stitching at the cuffs, buttonholes, and buttons, so it will probably be done in a year :)

Here's the entrance to the room, the dresser holds sewing patterns and such. The weird thing on the floor next to the door is a bee. The mirror is to the right of the yard stick. You've seen all of my room! I'm still tinkering with the art on the walls, so when I get that done I'll take some more shots.

That is simple lovely. Jealous, but so happy that you have a space to make awesomeness.

Thanks! My Indiana sewing space was an enclosed sun room, complete with spiders and ladybugs, so this is nice :)
